Race 8 Bendigo – 2014 Jayco Bendigo Cup
Count of Limonade: Won last start in Moe on a slow track. Won’t get that today. Up in distance certainly suits and maps nicely enough. Have to improve again though. Prince of Penzance form.
Ancient King: Shown nothing of note this prep but up in distance suits and last prep won over 2800m at Flemington. Best shown on wetter tracks over in AUS. Not for me.
Massiyn: Won much better last start at MV than previous two runs this prep. Never won at distance but never missed a place either and only run at track was a placing. Have to respect.
Ali Vital: Showed nothing last start at Geelong but ran 2L behind Mourinho two back. At best, still probably a bit off them all.
Order of the Sun: Very progressive horse. Last prep proved how good he is with a 7 length demolition over 2800m at Flemington in 3YO-LR class. Very very good win last start at Randwick in a ripper time from start to finish. Up in class here but up in distance will suit… key to winning is Good track and that looks set to be provided.
Surpass: Gone backwards since back down in Melbourne after run on wet tracks up in Sydney. Hard to have on those two runs.
Bring Something: Only just snuck home at Caulfield in much easier company. Is a good horse over this distance and likes a good or slow track.. but this is a step up and i’m happy to take on against the others here from the back.
Kourkam: Every chance last start at Randwick and was destroyed after winning two in a row. Have to improve significantly.
Caves: Finally snuck home for a win but that was BM-64. Can’t have even to place.

Comments: I come back to three key chances in this race. Count of Limonade won at Moe very well and you have to respect Prince of Penzance.. but the horse seems to be best on a rain affected track and i’m willing to take on today. Massiyn back in class last start ran home well but was never a chance at Moonee Valley. Up in distance sure to do the trick to give more of a chance today and probably try to be handy enough on pace. Order of the Sun is a beast. Last start the win at Randwick was just plain rude! Up in distance and will love it. The key, very simple, to this horse, is a Good track. Ripping into the price on offer as long as we have a Good track the race before the cup.
Confidence 90%
Strategy: Order Of The Sun to win.
