Caulfield Race Betting Options 30 July 2011

Race 1
Arctic Command comes into this race off a long spell having not raced since 26 Feb 2011. Placed into an easier race, Arctic Command will be there at the end and deserves a e/w bet.
Betting option – Artic Command 9-1
Result: Didn’t place

Race 2
Jackpot Queen was disappoint last week and should redeem herself. Barrier 8 will suit and expect the Queen to be there at the finish, whether it turns out to be a dead or good track!
Betting option – Jackpot Queen 5-1
Result: Won at 5-1 and $2.20

Race 3
A battle of two for our mind. The Tiger had the better of Dance with Her in their last tango by 2.8L. Both horses are up 3kg from their last starts. Dance with Her stayed too far back in that race sitting in 8th the most way around. In the next race, Dance stayed 3rd/4th all the way around and won. One may suggest The Tigers win was a fluke as recent form didn’t suggest this win was possible last start. Form suggests Dance with her will be there at the end and should take the race.
Betting option – Dance with her 4-1
Result: Third – $1.80 for place

Race 4
A battle of four horses. We actually cannot see any other horse getting in the top 4. Cellarmaster, Addiction to Rock, Josimar and Aljandar are the four.
Josimar gains 2kg from it’s last run win over Cellarmaster while Cellarmaster loses 1KG.. so in our eyes this has been turned around to battle win for Cellarmaster.. but you can never discount a good rider like Craig Williams onboard.
Addiction to Rock and Aljandar have both gone close in recent races and will be there in the finish. We feel it will be a win to Cellarmaster.
Betting option – Cellarmaster 5-1
Result: Didn’t place

Race 5
Snitza gave an amazing run at 10-1 last week and will be suited even more by the up in distance. We expect Mr Bissett and Lopov to be in it but Snitza should run away with it to the line.
Betting option – Snitza 3-1
Result: Didn’t place

Race 6
Probably the hardest race to pick of the day. Secret Flyer, Mid Summer Music, Second Effort and Rue Maple all have valid claims and you never know what Dusty Star will produce first up.
With Glen Boss on board and running off the same weight as it’s last start win, we are liking the look of Secret Flyer to make it two in a row.
Betting option – Secret Flyer 5-1
Result: Scratched. Mid Summer Music wins as expected after scratching at $1.85. Rue Maple second and Dusty Star 4th

Race 7
The fav going into this race is Biancon Rose who has won 3 straight after a 4 month spell.
Last up, Biancon Rose beat Minne Mah by 2.5L. Going into this race, Minne Mah is losing 3.5kg off it’s back while Biancon Rose gains 0.5kg. We don’t know how the new improved Biancon Rose will run on Good track if thats what we get tomorrow and we feel the 4kg turn should be enough for Minnie Mah to get over the line.
Betting option – Minne Mah 7-1
Result: Unlucky second. Looked the winner with 100m to go.  3-1 for place

Race 8
The last race of the day, also know as ‘Get out stakes’. We are going to look at two different horses in the race for you. The first has to be Mr Make Believe who is no doubt the favourite to win this race. The second is Milochello who is our bet of the day.
We honestly have no idea how Milochello will run, being out of the track for more than 7 months. When Milochello was raciing, 4 wins, 2 seconds and a third from the last 7 outings is quite impressive. Down in class and down 4kg from normal weights.. we cannot see how we are getting $27-1 Fixed odds.
Betting option – Milochello 27-1
Result: Did not produce, neither did Mr Make Believe. Both unplaced
