Wangaratta Race 5 – You Never Know @ $4.60 for 1.25 units to win
Sat dead last at Benalla last start on a firm track (generally suit front runners). Tight track, had to travel wide around the turn and rode through the pack held up for runs until the 200m. Back in class here and a smaller field. Will be getting back and running on. Extra distance the key.
Wangaratta Race 7 – Secrets Kept @ $9.00/$2.50 for 0.5 units Each-Way
The favourite looks hard to beat, but Secrets Kept looks a horse with the upside to come back this prep with a win in this grade based on the last two runs. Enjoys a good or soft surface and maps well enough from the barrier. Only a few chances and she looks a good price today.
Wangaratta Race 8 – Neona @ $51/$14 for 0.2 units Each-Way
The price is simply wrong for this horse. He won very well two runs back over the 1300m in a fast time on a soft track leading all the way. Simply ignore last start and rate on that win and the run four runs back at Geelong in this grade when he finished 3rd. Has won 3 of his last 7 runs and the other 4 have been 8L 15L 14L and 1.5L off a win. In other words, expect a strong showing, or the horse to end up last.
