Sale Race 5
This looks to be a race that will fall the way of Peter Moody. His two runners White Sambuca and High Esteem have shown promise. White Sambuca beat home Settlers Way last start and Settlers Way failed last start at Moonee Valley. Off 59kg today and leading this race up on speed maps, I reckon the price is wrong here. For me, the value seems to be High Esteem. A horse who has been competing in Group races with a 2L 6th at Flemington two back, this horse has a lot of upside. Expected to take a sit from the inside race, I expect the $3.80 available right now to be gone before the race.
Confidence 80%
Strategy: Hard to ignore the price of High Esteem here well back in class. It’s like putting Jesse White back into the Sydney VFL type competition – expect dominance!

Sale Race 6
Soaked is the stand out in this race. Kafil won well last start, but the horses he beat last start were average at best. This is a much harder race today. Pass The Post is certainly back in class today, but hasn’t finished better than 6th this prep with the last two starts finishing 4L off winning with two different strategies. Soaked is the class runner in the race. Running 3rd to Motto’s Gem at Bendigo two back is a solid effort and last start was strong behind the winner on heavy. Previous to that at Sale, ran on nicely as well behind a well breed winner. The price looks right.
Confidence 75%
Strategy: The price for Soaked here is hard to ignore. Will most likely be having a saver on the 4th fav Kolokotronis who speed maps to lead it up and looks the only main danger.

Sale Race 7
Godeera comes into this race with some very strong form lines. His last run was in November when beating home Hakauna by 2.8L over 1400m coming from the back. The horse he beat Hakakuna won next start at Mornington in a non-maiden race! Tune Out who finished third to Hakakuna in that race won two runs later at Cranbourne. There looks to be a lot of speed in this race with 6 runners who could potentially lead up or hassle up front and Godeera will be settling back.
Confidence 70%
Strategy: Key runners for mine here are Emergency Ward, Godeera, Marielle and Saint Or Sinner. The pace in this race looks hard out front and Godeera looks overs at the price on the last start run.

Sale Race 8
Numen Lumen is a horse we have been following for a while and this far into prep looks suited. Just keeps running well and has placed 5 from 6 at this distance. Speed maps to sit 1 out 1 back which is the key for the horse today to getting a winning run.
Confidence 75%
Strategy: Numen Lumen Looks a big price for 2 units place 1 unit win.
