Sandown Race 4
Easy to Look At: Huge improvement shown to win at massive odds last start. Up 3kg today after claims.
Beach Front: Won a slowly run race in country grade. This looks a step up when up 4.5kg.
Imprimis: Up 1kg today after not being able to stay out a lead at Moonee Valley. Showed enough last start to suggest can run better second up, but hard to take here unless a speed lane emerges.
Act Two: 5.5kg better off against Easy To Look At but hard to have here as didn’t show enough last start.
Angels Beach: The two horses who finished 7L and 8L behind first up went on to win next start and 3 starts later with some ok form lines. Could be something special.
Razeena: Up 2kg today after claim from last start second. Should be enough to get over Easy to Look At and form lines around We Own An Angel are strong.
City Hall: Decent enough last start but must show a lot more off 57kg
Navorina: Big form lines running 2nd to Red Inca last start when hanging out and losing a plate. Won by nearly 5L first up this prep and is a huge chance today.
Black Carat: Hard to see the progression today to this class.
Centauraine: Needs to show a lot more from last start.
Sullen Art: Looking for further.
Wings of Success: Good win two back in lesser class but failed last start. Don’t dismiss.
Confidence 80%
Strategy: Angels Beach is certainly the one to beat, but what did it beat first up? The race looked ok, but can she produce a similar run in higher grade? Speedmaps suggest 7 horses will be sitting infront of her and if there is any hint of leader bias, our picks are very much value. Navorina was very impressive first up this prep and last start should have beat home Red Inca who won at Flemington last prep and ran very close to Fiveandahalfstar and Super Cool.

Sandown Race 5
Keep this race short and sweet. Scarletini is set to win here. Big win last start at Moonee Valley and down 4kg after claim. Very hard to beat here.
Confidence 75%
Strategy: Straight on the nose.

Sandown Race 6
Very open race. Aurum Spirit was huge last start and can win again today. Savitar just keeps going close and looks suited. Catagious was huge four back and if repeats that can win this, but hasn’t gone forward in a while and Van Rossum is weighted to win today.
Confidence 50%
Strategy: Too many chances here. If you like to back a few horses to win to bring around an average return price of $2.80, then you have the right odds with my horses listed above.

Sandown Race 7
Very hard race to get a hold of. Tycoon Heights off 55kg after claim improved significantly over in Adelaide but this may be a little too hard. Rugged Cross has only won a maiden over 1400m in England, ran 3rd and 2nd in 3YO-LR class over 1600m and 2000m and then got destroyed by 16L behind a handy horse called Camelot. In Waller yard now. Looks to have ability. Sharalam is first up in over 7 months from Ireland. Won an Open class race (5 runners) on slow over 2400m. Looks to be wanting further. Finally we come to Red Rain. Down in class today after running 3rd behind Zedi Knight and It is Written from dead last at Moonee Valley. Down 2kg today and is weighted to win.
Confidence 80%
Strategy: Expecting to get a bigger price on the day as I suspect Rugged Cross or Sharalam will be backed in. Looks to be huge value at the weights and will get a very nice run on speed maps.

Newcastle Race 7
Jacquinot Bay has won 6 from 7 and if you saw the 2nd to Strawberry Boy, you understand how unlucky he was. Was huge last start and is multi-dimensional, able to lead or run on (which he is better suited to). Won off 58.5kg very well from the back last start on Heavy and down 4.5kg today up to this class. Big test but has the ability.
Confidence 75%
