Horse Racing - Australia

Flemington
Race 1
Chasing Kisses lost it’s only start by 0.8L on a dead track in a decent time. Will get a good race with only two others with a chance.
$5.50 is value

Race 2
While we like Tellora and it should lead this race with a fast tempo and be there at the finish, you can’t go past the form of Total Attraction beating a quality horse in Gig last up at Caulfield, it looks like it can step up to the further distance.
Great Fixed at $4.40

Race 3
Fairly open race. Don’t like the fav, times too poor. Heard a big talk up of Vonharp and times are impressive so will be playing a saver there. Charlottes Mint back down to a winnable class and a healthy price for the top rated horse. Ran first and second it’s last two starts on a Dead track.
$15 fixed currently for Charlottes Mint

Race 4
We love Royal Mail but if the ground isn’t upgraded to Good by this race, no way you can touch it. It’s got horrible form on anything not Good. Hanks is a very strange market leader. Not too keen on anything in this race but if I was to tell you a horse that should be there at the end, it would be Persian Star.

Race 5
Not keen on any of the top weights in this one. Two horses to watch are Volando and Diamonds At Dusk with great value to be had on both horses. Both fast times but both are a concern on a Dead track. The two favs are not great on dead tracks either. Not keen this race but may have a snap at Diamonds.

Race 6
Massively hard race to pick. So many chances. First thoughts is there will be a very fast tempo with the Soldier running up forward (must take lead from Obsidian Dragon). The Soldier has not ran well in the past on Dead track but we are happy to have a small spec, love this horse. With a very fast pace, we really like First Command here. Will get a great run all the way and come late. 4 wins from 6 on dead tracks so should get the run it wants.
$6 for First Command and $14 for The Soldier

Race 7
We like the looks of a horse called Montgomery. First up from a decent prep last up when it won a R.82 and Open race. Down in class, deserves a bit more respect than it’s being given at $51 currently.
The other horse we like is The Wingman. Has come 2nd in 5 of the last 6 with a win in there. Has been running well and will be there at the end. $15 is a stupid price and we will snap it up!

Race 8
Another hard race to end the day but we like the look of Meshmaker. Has started $3.50 or better the last 3 starts and has won two of those by 2.8L and 4.3L and a close 2nd with Vet exam. Huge value in this horse.
$3.50 fixed
