Horse Racing Form for Sandown 19 February 2014

Horse Racing - Australia

Welcome to The Profits form for Sandown on Wednesday 19 February 2014. Well well well, it does seem like forever since we were back at Sandown. It will be interesting to see how the track plays first up. Generally you get a little bit of a leader bias to start the day and it evens out throughout the race day. I’m not going huge on anything today but two stand out as value at their current odds.

Index
Red means Top pick. Blue means second pick and Green refers to a saver pick. Orange means the pick looks value.

Sandown Race 6
A tough race on paper with quite a few chances.
The one stand out for me is Laohu. Forgive last run and rate on previous runs. Outside barrier does hurt but should be better suited to 1400m today and is the likely leader. The horse runs best out front. The key for me is the unraced track. The rail will be giving him every chance today and the price looks overs. 4-5 chances here but the price is value.

Confidence 75%
Strategy: Laohu E/W

Sandown Race 7
Three standouts here for me.
Grand Zee ran well last start at Caulfield out the front. On times run, she had every chance. Equal weight today with claim, barrier 1, she maps well. Should have every chance.
Not A Llama will be sitting midfield or worse today from the barrier. Two back run behind Whistle Baby at Flemington was strong and then last start at Geelong ran home very well to record a very easy victory. Looks progressive and Oliver keeps the run.
Mrs Hadlee looks to be the overs today. The outside barrier certainly hurts, but I get the feeling they will try push for a more forward slot. Either way, she can win from front or back. Beat home Not A Llama last start at Flemington and meets her 3kg better today. At the prices, this means she represents great value and on last prep enjoys the distance.

Confidence 80%
Strategy: Strong bet E/W Mrs Hadlee.
