Horse Racing - Australia

Welcome to The Profits form guide for Sandown on 7 May 2014. Well it was great to get our Best Bet in on Saturday and we hope to continue the trend today with a very confident best bet at Sandown. As always, I hope your form matches up with mine! Good luck and happy punting!

Melbourne Best Bet

Sandown Race 6 Klishina
I can’t pass up backing this runner today. Barrier is suitable and the class of race is also just that, suitable, at the weights. Looks to be a very very classy horse in the making and if it wasn’t for a heavy track would be undefeated this prep (while the horse didn’t handle the heavy, it still ran 2nd). I will be also savering my blackbooker Mango Mojito in this same race who looks the real danger on paper.

Red means Top pick. Blue means second pick and Green refers to a saver pick. Orange means the pick looks value.

Sandown Race 3
Very tough race. I can’t bet here but will have a quick say. Rich River has all the form lines to win today with 3rd to Written in 3Yo… 5th 1.8L to Gamblin Guru over in Adelaide and before that a good win.. good barrier. Self Sense was unlucky not to win at course last start and from barrier will go close again. Native Land probably deserves to be favourite today and if they are able to swoop, will go close.

Strategy: Native Land E/W.. but I won’t be playing, just watching.

Sandown Race 5
Quick and dirty on this one.
Like two here at odds and having equal stakes on them.
Black Jack Boy was brilliant without winning his last 5 runs of last prep. I know he takes a while to get into his preps, but the conditions and weight suit today in this class, especially if the speed is on which i believe it will be.
She’s Ellie is simply over the odds today also. Base off her first up or 2nd up run last prep and she deserves to be $6 at best from this barrier at this weight.

Confidence 70%
Strategy: Back Black Jack Boy & She’s Ellie equal stakes.

Sandown Race 6
Very keen on Klishina today. Looks to be a very very good horse in the making on all the times this prep. The dryer the track the more confident. Very happy with the horse on a Dead 5. No real issue with a slow 6-7 either.
Have to saver Mango Mojito today based on last prep. Very good horse.
Hotel Sierra has been up for a fair while this prep and up to a high weight today back in class, I agree the horse is good… but best shown on a non-rain affected track.

Confidence 90%
Strategy: Back Klishina hard. Saver Mango Mojito

Sandown Race 8
I just wanted to put a quick note on this race without suggesting a bet. Very very open race. Paaratte Pat’s win was franked by Spectre running well since in town. Elwick Jack can just be forgiven for last start and looks over the odds also. Bachelor Royal proved to be a good horse last prep but has been off a good 9 months so probably needs the run.. but hard to ignore. I think Red Corner is the unders today. Winta Chiller is a very good horse based on last prep but never won first up (never missed a place though).
Tough race and a few more in the market at higher odds with chances.

Strategy: Watch!
