Royal Ascot Day 4 Race 1
The Albany Stakes over 1200 metres kicked off the day well for Qatar Racing Limited who had two runners. There was a lot of anticipation for Joyeuse, the half-sister to Frankel on course prior to the race. As has happened all carnival, runners spread out across the track. The pace was on up to the 2 furlong pole with the Qatar Racing runner Race Hunter leading down to the 1 furlong pole before being passed by their other runner who took a sit all race in Kiyoshi who sprinted two lengths clear of the field until laying in heavily towards the fence. Sandiva was flying home late but couldn’t pass Kiyoshi. Joyeuse came home well also for 3rd.

Royal Ascot Day 4 Race 3
The 1600m Coronation Stakes was ran at a strong tempo today. Equal favourite Just The Judge struggled to get in from an outside barrier, while Sky Lantern settled at the back. Just the Judge finally got in a little too late and spent a lot. Bana Wu produced a big run late also to finish 3rd.

The Queens Vase over 2m was a very solid Group 3 race. Leading Light came in as short priced favourite with a few queries of whether he cold stay the distance. Leading Light was put in 3 back the rails and there was no moves made in the race up until about 800 metres to go when Disclaimer popped out to push the pace. Coming around the turn Leading Light found space to get out and by the 1.5 furlong mark had hit he lead from Royal Skies. At the 1 furlong pole Feels Like Dancing joined Leading Light at the front and kicked a head clear before Leading Light stayed on strongly to claim the lead in the final 100m to win from Feels like Dancing and Boite who stayed on well for third.
Royal Ascot Day 4 Race 6
The Buckingham Palace Stakes over 1400m rounded off the day with a few surprises. The field broke up into two clear groups with the most runners going over to the far side of the track. The grandstand side field was sped up by Mont Ras who was gone by the 2 furlong pole. This pace making gave the grandstand side group a clear 5 length advantage into the final furlong and it was Lightning Cloud who burst through the pack to kick clear and claim the win from Dream Tune, Shamaal Nibras and Es Que Love with the favourites mainly stuck in the far side pack.
