What a flutter Friday in proposition. Over the next three days we will see the National Hunt season start to get into full swing. Today see’s a fascinating clash between Fingal Bay, who lost his unbeaten record in a messy renewal of the Sefton Novies’ Hurdle, and the David Pipe-trained Dynaste. He has a similar profile to last year’s winner Grand Crus and his second behind Big Buck’s in the Cleeve Hurdle is the best single piece of form on offer.
Dodging Bullets is also in action for Paul Nicholls today and should prove tough to beat. Big things are expected of him this season having not quite fulfilled his juvenile role. Classy flat stayer Tominator is also in action and will face his toughest race to date having won a shade cosily on his hurdling debut at Bangor.
