AFL 2017

This week we have 7 games to look at with Melbourne, Sydney, West Coast getting the Bye. Last week we selected:

Pies by 82 (won by 71)
Hawthorn by 32 (won by 8)
Carlton by 24 (Draw)
Geelong by 28 (Won by 27)
Adelaide by 12 (lost by 32) – Please note we did change our tips to Port Adelaide after posting
Melbourne by 38 (Won by 90)
Fremantle by 22 (Won by 27)

As you can tell, we had a pretty good week with most bets getting pretty close to the mark.
The good news is all our betting suggestions EASILY got in with Cats +22.5, Collingwood -35.5 and Carlton +28.5 by at leas t 28  points a piece smile
This takes us to 30 from 30 for the pre-season/season in AFL betting.

Brisbane Lions vs St Kilda Saints
St Kilda have won the last 2 meetings by 16 and 14
Saints should be better for the break and come out hungry
Saints should be too good for a Brisbane with a number of injuries
Saints by 27

Port Adelaide Power vs Gold Coast Suns

The first meeting between these two teams.
Port Adelaide showed alot of heart last week against Adelaide.
Gold Coast showed the opposite getting smashed by 90 points by Melbourne.
Port Adelaide should easily dispose of Gold Coast
Port Adelaide by 45

Carlton Blues vs Adelaide Crows
Carlton won the last meeting by 8 points in Adelaide round 4 last year.
Carlton should have lost last week to Essendon, but due to two injuries, they managed a Draw.
Adelaide were woeful with a number of key injuries meaning rookies had to step up.
Carlton will show too much and win
Carlton by 29

North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Richmond Tigers
North Melbourne won the last meeting by 50.
The form of both these teams suggest that it is going to be very close and could result in a draw.
From all accounts, North were terrible against Fremantle while Richmond showed a glimmer of brillance against the best team in the league, Collingwood
Richmond by 4

Essendon Bombers vs Collingwood Magpies
Collingwood have won the last three meetings by 98, 65 and 35.
This is a match that means alot to both teams. Unfortunately for Essendon, the two injuries sustained last week takes away a large amount of run from their midfield.
The Pies will remain unbeaten
Collingwood by 45

Fremantle Dockers vs Western Bulldogs
Bulldogs have won the last 6 games against Fremantle with the last three being by 63, 31 and 82.
The Bulldogs are the most underrated team in the AFL at the moment due to their poor first game start against Essendon.
Doggies will show too much skill and take care of Freo here.
Western Bulldogs by 19

Hawthorn Hawks vs Geelong Cats
Geelong has won the last 5 games, all by under 11 points, so we can expect a close game once again.
A full strength Geelong team has been proving themselves over the last few games while Hawthorn have been less than consistent, nearly losing to West Coast Eagles last week.
Geelong will get up in a close one
Geelong by 15

Out Betting Options
Collingwood $1.25 Head to head
Geelong +19.5 at $1.26
Western Bulldogs +30.5 at $1.25

Covering all things Australian Rules Football for The Profits. I’ve been a passionate supporter and follower of AFL for as long as I can remember. Having been born into a family with deep football history and tradition on both sides, you can say it runs through my blood. I’ve got a keen interest in the stats and analysis of the game, which helped me finish in the top 100 of fantasy competitions DreamTeam and Supercoach last year. While my own local football career was cut short due to injury at 22, it has created an opportunity for me to frequently watch and build a deep knowledge of the sport at its highest level. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and views throughout the season.
