MLB Monday 7 September 2015

week. It’s been a decent run of late with us being so close to some big days but falling short however still with some small profits to keep us ticking along. In what is now the closing stretch of the regular season we are seeing some key series start to matter more. The Dodgers all but put the nail in the coffin of the Giants season highlighted by an outstanding Kershaw performance. The Pirates have what looks to be their last chance to stay in touch with the Cardinals, and the Jays and Yankees look to stay close before their huge series at the weeks end. The Alt totals mulits via Crown Best have gone 4 of 5 over the last week and a bit so there looks to be some value to continue playing them.

Monday 7th

Best Bet – Astros -1.5 at $1.92
Next Best – Royals -1.5 at $2.00
Mulit – Blue Jays/Astros $2.19
Alt Totals Multi – o7.5 Jays/O’s, u9.5 Cardinals/Pirates, o6.5 Reds/Brewers at $2.76

Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays (3.05am AEST)

Orioles ($2.52) – Tillman (9-10, 4.87)

Blue Jays ($1.55)  –  Estrada (11-8, 3.16)

Prediction

Blue Jays. Toronto bounced back after being pounded in game one of the series with David Price continuing his impressive Toronto spell. The Orioles have been an enigma, they don’t show up when they should and somehow win when they shouldn’t. Toronto won’t want to lose this series. Estrada has recorded 5 quality starts in his last 6 and he is 5-4 with a 2.3 ERA at home. Chris Tilllman is having a season to forget, no longer the best arm on the roster he is 4-4 with a 4.87 ERA away from Camden Yards. Jays should win this with that dangerous lineup, however Chris Davis is in a purple patch and they O’s could get some runs here.

Suggested Bet

Blue Jays at $1.55

Minnesota Twins vs Houston Astros (4.10am AEST)

Twins ($3.00) -Duffey (2-1, 4.56)

Astros ($1.41)  – Keuchel (16-6, 2.24)

Prediction

Astros. As Hoston look to cement themselves atop the AL West they need to take advantage of having their ace on the mound. Keuchel the 3 time AL pitcher of the month is 12-0 at home with a 1.35 ERA. Houston are 47-24 at Minute Maid Park. the Twins looks to still have hope for the wild card spot and Tyler Duffey will be tasked with this challenge. Returning to his home town of Houston in his limited road starts he is 1-1 with a 6.00 ERA. Keuchel should be too good.

Suggested Bet

Astros -1.5 $1.92

Chicago White Sox vs Kansas City Royals (4.10am AEST)

White Sox ($2.76) – Johnson (0-0, -.–)

Royals ($1.47)  – Cueto (9-10, 3.04)

Prediction

Royals. The almost confirmed AL Central winning Royals are just waiting for the postseason, however there still remains work to be down with the August addition of Cuteo not being his usual self. They need him to find his form. He has struggled in his last 3 starts and I expect that to turn around sooner rather than later. Johnson will make his 2015 Sox debut. Struggled in Triple A in 2014 he looks to just be filling the spot to push Chris Sale’s start back a day later. Royals avoid the sweep.

Suggested Bet

Royals -1.5 $2.00

Pittsburgh Pirates vs St Louis Cardinals (10.05am AEST Live ESPN)

Pirates ($1.91) – Cole (15-8, 2.64)

Cardinals ($1.93)  – Lackey (11-8, 2.87)

Prediction

Cardinals. In what is the biggest series of the weekend, aw in here pretty much puts the ribbon on the Cardinals division title. John Lackey has been superb at home going 8-3 with a 1.89 ERA. 1.42 against Pittsburgh. The Cardinals know how to win and I’m actually surprised they are not favourite here and a bit shorter. Cole has been rusty of late and perhaps signs of a tired arm in what has been his biggest and best season of his young career. With a 3.65 ERA against the Cardinals and his recent woes, it pains me to say I don’t have much faith with the Pirates in this one. Hope i’m wrong but St Louis to win.

Suggested Bet

Cardinals at $1.93

Note: I have noticed of late Crownbet have the better prices on MLB games. That is where we will be making the plays from now on. Every cent counts right.

Hope you all have a good week with your MLB betting. Hopefully your thoughts on the games match up with mine. As always these are only a select few games I was interested in, feel free to share your opinions on any games at @MLB_TheProfits on Twitter. Happy Punting.
