Horse Racing Form – Seymour Cup – Sunday October 21

Horse Racing - Australia

The quality of races today are simply not up to our standard. Tipping is all about knowing where your skills are best placed and our are not in this class. Luckily, there are two races we can handle for the day in the Seymour Cup and Race 5 where a city class horse has taken a step down.

Red means Top pick. Blue means second pick and Green refers to a saver pick. Orange means a speculation pick.

Race 7 Seymour Cup
Launay hasn’t won in more than a year and a half and just keeps going close. Three strong runs this prep and up to 59.5kg again today. Will go close once again but this field seems to have a bit too much class.
Over Quota is a big chance today. We speced it first up as best value of the day and he just missed out for 3rd by a lose. Up to the 1600m is a big bonus and he should he much better for the first up run. Goes much better on dead than Good so the ground should suit also. Barrier 2 means he will sit exactly where needed and be there to pounce at the end.
The form lines of Callanish are hard to ignore but one must take him on that the price. If you ignore Spirit Song from last start, the quality of horses he has beaten are not super. This is a big test today up 2.5kg and he will be tested.
Mr Chard not up to this.
Lord of Brazil just keeps on winning with 3 from last 4. Can sit anywhere in the run and win. He should run another big race today but this is a step up in class once again.
Amah Rock has been super close to breaking through each run this prep. Barrier 1 is a big issue for a swooper and he may get blocked for a run once again. Either way, he will still go very close.
Twilighting needs to improve 2-3L here.
Midnight Glory doesn’t have the quality to win this.
Orbital Motion outclassed
Tribal Rock was very disappointing second up during the week. He should run a solid race again today but doubt he will win this.

Seymour Race 5
One to watch in this race is Harpers. Ignore first up run, has some quality runs from last prep and out of the Snowden yard. Should be going close here today off 54kg.
