Jockey mistakes the winning post

Jockey Roger Loughran had won some of the biggest races and while it’s fairly hard to see how he made the mistake, you have to give a man of his experience the benefit of doubt on the day. What may have got to those that backed the horse the most was the way Roger stood up in the irons and celebrated, when infact, he should have still been riding the horse to the line.

It’s safe to say, the on course punters were not too pleased and Roger he was lucky to walk out of the racecourse without any broken bones. It may be due to the character of trainer Dessie Hughes’ who walked back to the weighing room with Roger to ensure he survived the trip.
