Moonee Valley Race 7
Kievann comes out of a form race of high potential. Running 3rd behind Voodoo Lad and Duke of Brunswick, Voodoo Lad was beaten 0.2L on the weekend in a Listed race at Flemington while Duke of Brunswick has come out and won since at Caulfield in a BM-90 grade race by a strong 1.5L. Kievann drops back from Open grade to BM-78 and gets in with 60kg after the claim. The positives continue for this horse with 10 runs in the past at the track for 3 wins and 2 places. His form on softer tracks is also very strong with a 3 wins 2 places record from 7 runs. The only negative today is gate 12. He will be pushing forward looking for the front of a position just off it and could get caught 3-wide. There is a positive though with this track… rail out 7 metres and the rain… they very well may be coming off the fence this late in the day.
