Welcome to The Profits form guide for Sale on 25 May 2016. Short and sharp today. There is a horse i’m very keen to unload on today and the confidence rating is very high. Every single part about this horse and more importantly the race it is entered into is perfect for the conditions today. If anything, i’m actually being a bit conservative with my staking based on how short my figures have the horse rated here, but we can’t over-extend and bet beyond our methods. Fingers crossed the chips fall our way and we are on the money to get us back on track after a few poor weeks on the punt. As always, i hope your form matches up with mine. Sale Race 5
I’m VERY keen to be betting into this race today.
Stratum Magic is the horse we want to be on today. The last start run after a 50 day freshen up was very very good. The horse jumps well and has a lot of early speed which is what is needed to cross from barrier 10 today… and most importantly, there is no other speed runner on paper in this race, so she should get the control of the race with ease hopefully. What I saw in the replay of last start was a horse that is wanting 1400m, not 1200m. She was passed at the 200m by a few horses in the straight, but instead of going backwards, she knuckled down to the task and fought back to grab a clear 2nd, beaten by a horse that has franked the form since with a close 2nd in harder grade than this last Saturday at Flemington. The form out of last start franks itself more when you note third in the race was Fleur Fatale who ran 2nd to Miss Vista the run before that and Dance With Fontein ran 4th in that race, coming out and winning at Pakenham in this grade yesterday.

Sale Race 7
You have to take on the Hawkes runner here at the shorts. The horse won a maiden… this is a massive step up jumping straight past BM-64 grade and I’m not convinced the horse is as good as the odds suggest. Will have to work hard from the barrier to get a good spot.
Turfane is the clear top pick for me here. The last start win was a very solid result in this grade and he finds himself well weighted again here. Will get the track conditions to suit and most importantly maps very very well from the barrier.
I’m also going to put my faith in the Hayes stable and back Arctic Song at the big odds today. This is a horse that has won in this class in the past. Yes, it’s been a while between drinks, but his effort four runs back when just 1.9L off Rough Justice off a very hot tempo in open grade was more than good enough to measure up here from a good barrier.
Strategy: Back Turfane for 1.5 units @ $4.60. Also back Arctic Song for 0.5 units @ $14.
