Sandown Race 2 – Houdini The Great for 2 units @ $6.50/$2.20 Each-Way
Keen today to see the Houdini The Great run his first real race this prep well back in class here. On previous preps winning in BM-78 and BM-70 grades, his best is more than good enough. Two forgive runs and is over the correct distance on a long straight that suits. Claimer is the key.
Sandown Race 3 – Leveraction for 1.5 units @ $1.95 to place
This is certainly a competitive race on paper with almost all runners having a winning chance. Where I see the value is with the clear mapped leader Leveraction who has placed 4 runs from 6 starts at this distance in the past and has placed 3 from 4 attempts at this track. Just ignore the last start run when they went way too fast out the front and rate on previous run in this class. Claim from Payne is key.
Sandown Race 5 – Cosmic Miss for 2.5 units @ $3.50 to win
Talented type that showed us her very best form last prep with a close 3rd at Caulfield in 3YOF class. Blocked for a run last start at Geelong when lost all momentum.. the run was better than it looks on paper!
