The rain has splashed all over Melbourne the past few days and Bendigo has come out with a Slow track. This always means unless you have a solid wet tracker you like, then you lower your bets. Just the two races that stood out and our Best Bet was scratched. I do like the runner in the last, but not enough to give it a Best Bet Status. I hope my form matches up with yours. Bendigo Race 8
There are a few handy horses in this race. Angels Beach is a stand out, but if you go over the previous runs, you know the horse won’t handle the wet or will more than likely be scratched.
Angelic Lass is an interesting runner who is going forward from the outside. Ran and won well at Flemington in a similar class on race on wet and should go well.
Dartook ran well enough last start at MV but up 4.5kg is just not backable for mine.
The stand out is from my black book in Hazard. Won 2 from 3 first up. Won 3 from 7 at this distance iluding a 1200m 1.5L caulfield first beatijng Elite Elle on a dead track. I think she is weighted well off 59.5kg here today. As long as Moloney gets her a good position.. she will be very hard to hold out and is a great price.

Strategy: With the scratching of Hazard, Angelic Lass appeals… but I am staying away.
Bendigo Race 10
Very tough race to finish the day. About Square’s run down the straight was eye catching in slow two back and previous to that in 3YO grade was strong also. If they are making up ground all day then he is a very good chance.
She Goes to Rio is one I have in my book for when she got back in class. It was a strong run behind Le Bonsir who has franked that form with a big win last weekend. Needs to slot in but is 1 win 1 place on Heavy and can go forward or back.
Quick Shakes is the final horse I like in this race. Strong previous prep, goes well first up and maps to go forward. Only query is how he will go on the ground but if they are leading, then he may just blow them away.

Strategy: She Goes to Rio E/W. If they are able to make up a lot of ground in previous races then About Square gets some money also.
