Welcome to The Profits form for Sale. The fields are slowly starting to worsen as we come down from the Spring carnival so you can expect the standard of mid-week races to be below standard the next month while those horses primed for the Spring are taken out to spell. This does give us an opportunity to grab onto those horses who are still peaking and also those on the up for a summer campaign. The confidence isn’t high today, but the prices on both runners are right. As always, I hope your form matches up with mine. Good luck and happy punting!

A few progressive types and some older battlers who are past their prime.
Royal Island is the horse with the most potential to come from the last prep and improved significantly 2nd up. Back to a dead track today is no issue and down 2.5kg down in class today from a good barrier, the only issue is the new jockey. The price looks right.

Strategy: Backing Royal Island to win.
Sale Race 8
A tough race to finish the day with some fair unknowns, but there is a horse I have a strong opinion of who has run well in city class, but just simply hasn’t been able to record a win there. Lingo‘s last two runs were very strong. The Heavy track win at Geelong was certainly brave while last start there was a lot to take out of the run. Back in class today and up to 59kg which seems fair to be, the only issue is if Lane gives him a good ride.

Strategy: Happy to have a go at Lingo E/W. If looking to saver, Prince Jester is the obvious.
