Paul Nicholls is yet to decide if Big Buck’s will line up in the Betfair-sponsored Fixed Brush Hurdle at Haydock a week on Saturday. What we do know is that if the 174-rated four-time World Hurdle winner does line up, he’ll be giving away a significant 26lb and more to his rivals.
Nicholls has two options available to him for Big Buck’s seasonal return, with the Fixed Brush Hurdle a likely target he could also vow to take him to Newbury. The nine-year-old was seen at Exeter yesterday having a routine racecourse gallop in company with stablemate Cedre Bleu. The first time he’s been seen since romping to a nine-length victory at Aintree following his Cheltenham victory.
