NBA – Friday 4 February 2011 – Betting options & tips

nba

With 12 games on the cards we have looked at each game and given our reasons behind each pick.

We have listed the games in order of preference. This means number 1     is the most confident bet while 3 is least confident. I hope they   help   you with your tips and picking a winning bet.

Rank Away Home Win Touch/Don’t Line Reason
1 New York Philadelphia Philadelphia Touch 1.5 Philly won the last meeting in New York by 10. New York have lost their last 4 on the road while Philly have won 5/6 at home recently.
2 Dallas Boston Dallas Touch 11.5 Dallas are back to top form winning 6 in a row. Boston have been up and down lately. Dallas are 1-0 against Boston this year (close game). Expect this one to be close also.
3 Oklahoma Phoenix Phoenix Touch 6.5 Oklahoma have not won an away game in the last 10 by over 6. Happy for 5.5-6.5 line for Phoenix who are playing well, especially at home. Phoenix are 1 up on Oklahoma (in Oklahoma) this year.
4 Minnesota Toronto Minnesota Touch 8.5 Minnesota won the last meeting at home by 16 last week.  Can’t see a 24 point turn around. Toronto on 13 game losing streak!
5 Miami Charlotte Miami Touch -1.5 Miami are on fire scoring over 100 in their last 3 while Charlotte has only scored 88, 78 and 97 in their last 3. Miami should score too much and have won last 2 by over 7 against Charlotte.
6 Utah Denver Denver Touch -2.5 Utah have lost 7/8 away (1 OT win). Denver won the last meeting by 22. Beat Portland by 19 last game.
7 San Antonio Sacramento Sacramento Touch 9.5 Spurs are 5/6 (2/3 away) lately while Sacramento are 5/11 (no lose over 7, which was away).  Sacramento with 9.5 seems safe (last opponents have been Boston (lost by 5) New Orleans – won, Lakers – won and Charlotte (lost by 5).
8 Orlando Washington Orlando Touch -1.5 Washington have lost their last 6 while Orlando have lost 3 of last 5 only beating bad teams. Washington is a bad team and they should be too good here.
9 Portland Indiana Portland Touch 7.5 Indiana have won 3 of last 10 (against bottom 4 teams). Portland beat spurs and lost to denver & boston (top teams) . Portland won the last meeting by 5.
10 Clippers Atlanta Atlanta Touch -3.5 Clippers have not been travelling well and Atlanta have been handy at home. Atlanta won previous meeting in LA by 9. LA lost their last 4 on the road by over 7.
11 New Jersey Detroit New Jersey Don’t 9.5 Nets are 2-0 (both at home) and are terrible travellers. Detroit have lost 4 in a row.  Best left untouched this game.
12 Cleveland Memphis Memphis Don’t -8.5 Cleveland are 1-0 against Memphis this year. Memphis have been beating bottom teams quite easily at home lately. Best not to touch, too short a game.

To achieve this line, we are using www.centrebet.com.au and we are       choosing the PICK YOUR OWN LINE method allowing us to get as close   to     $1.50 odds for the matchs as possible. We are putting the same   amount on   each bet. While we have listed 8 options to touch, we   will   decide an   hour before the start of matchs the exact number we will   touch. It is   normally between 3-6 but can blow out to 10.
